It’s still a basement college hangout bar, but this is a new location on Kutztown’s Main Street for the borough’s most storied college haunt. Small and smoky, it gets incredibly loud on the weekends when the rock bands test the sonic limits of humankind. The usual bar food is available, but frankly, no one goes to Shorty’s for the chow — more likely it’s the happy-hour discounts and the Coors Light specials. Careful on those stairs!
