Callahan’s is a classic neighborhood Irish bar, nothing more, nothing less. Politicians often stop by for a beer or to chat with Potter, one of the bartenders. Oldtime patrons may not notice that the decor could be freshened up a tad. They come for the selection of beers on tap, including microbrews, and the beer mug club. The chicken wings here strike the right balance of flavor and crispiness. Also on the menu are low-priced pub grub standbys, including the Reuben sandwich and fish and chips.
