Other than the challenge of finding parking, this place is great!

A low key bar with upscale tastes. 60+different bottles of Real beers from all over the world but you can still get your standard american swill if so inclined. Several thousand pewter mugs with personal engravings line the cieling from hooks for those who have joined the Mug Club. You to can have one or more you only have to drink all 60 beers on there menu to get it. I was there when one gentlemen recieved his 27th mug. The food is great. Everything from standard pub fare that is expertly fashioned to more elaborate entrees like korean braised shortribs or exotic ravioli. Don't expect a menu for the fried items because they don't have a fryer and I think the food is better because of that. Live music on most later week nights and weekends. Nice brunch on sunday too. My only gripe is the Smoking. The place is small and if you are at the bar it can be a bit overwhelming. The dining room is sort of separated from the bar so it is better on that side of the establishment.

Although it's a pub with food - Porters offers way better than your typical pub food. The menu offers a good selection and there are always great specials. Good burgers (but no fries - I don't think this place has a fryer.) Great pasta specials. A really good place to go for a casual meal and above average food. It's very cozy inside so it's a good place for couples or small groups. My only complaint is that sometimes it is smoky or smells of stale smoke. Not a good place for kids.
