Hot on the heels of the digitally-enhanced success of "U2 3D," Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese hopes to set a new standard for the concert film with "Shine a Light," his Rolling Stones documentary opening April 4.

In honor of these recent releases, we've compiled a list of our ten all-time favorite concert films—including one that reminds Scorsese is anything but a newcomer to this unique musical art form.
