I just wanted to let everyone know how much my family and I enjoy Conways! We love everything about it. I am from Alabama, needless to say i know bbq. And this is the best I have found in PA. I read the message re: collard greens and okra and I cannot agree more with the msg. re: okra not being served unless its great quality. I am soooo thankful they have such high standards! My only complaint is that the locationn off Lehigh Street was closed. Way to go Conways -- we will definitely be back!

Is it right that a restaurant owner gives reviews on his/her restaurant? Of course you're going to give yourself high marks, but have you eaten there? Not impressive at ALL! I would have to agree with the other reviewer and include that the BBQ we got was also way overcooked and dry. The sides were barely edible. I would recommend going elsewhere.

We have never had a bad experience. The food is always great I love the sweet potatoe fries and the kids meals are a great deal for only a buck. we will be back lots of times.

I wish to respond to the first comment about Fried Okra and Collard Greens. During certain months of the year it is difficult to get okra that is of high quality that we will serve in the restaurant to the customers. So, during those times we will be out of okra and we apologize for that. Secondly regarding the collard greens...as most of you affectionados already know, there are many ways to do collard greens. We try to pick the way we believe the most people will enjoy without adding fillers to take away from the greens themselves. Finally, in response to having cold food, people are fallible and do make mistakes but it is how we react to those mistakes that we can be judged upon. Hopefully you alerted your server of the cold food and they will most certainly will have taken care of the problem in a manner suitable to your liking. Help us by letting us help you. I put five stars for each column because I believe in our food and our staff.

They're Not Going to Last

Food Always arrives cold, then when I send it back, they'll just microwave it.
They're almost always out of the fried okra, and the collards are overcooked and soggy.
