At its essence, Blue — Melt’s more subdued sister — is a meat-and-potatoes place, but dishes are served with a flourish that says, “We OWN meat and potatoes, baby.” Cool elegance permeates the space, with brown mahogany everything, beige and brown wall-to-wall carpeting and trios of clear glass votives with white candles. In the Wine Bar lounge — which is 400 bottles strong — couches surround a fireplace flickering warm light onto stained-glass mosaics and funky art. Buy a bottle. Stay a while.
