Black Forest Deli
745 Seventh Ave.
Bethlehem, PA 18018-3619
610-865-3036
Homemade is the watchword for the mother-daughter team of Milana and Vicki Shparber, who run The Black Forest Deli, a favorite of businesspeople and residents in the West Bethlehem neighborhood where the deli has operated since 1997. Milana prepares the chicken and makes the sauce for the deli’s signature chicken Parmesan sandwich. She also makes the soups — chicken noodle, cream of tomato and borsch are best-sellers — and Yummy Yogurt desserts — fruity granola and strawberry banana are mainstays. The deli also does breakfast, serving bacon and eggs, omelets, pancakes and French toast. A kids’ menu is available.
